SCSU sophomore Calvin Amundson-Geisel has always had a desire to be a leader. Whether being captain of the baseball team or leading a group project, Calvin has always strived for the best. A mindset that already has him set up for success in his newest leadership role, UTVS Station Manager.

UTVS Station Manager is the highest student position within the student-run organization. It requires great attention to detail, being open-minded to change, and being quick on your feet to solve problems.

“I’m excited for the opportunity to take over as station manager at UTVS,” Amundson-Geisel said. “It is a prestigious honor to follow in the line of other great station managers, and I cannot wait to get started next fall.”

Calvin will be taking over for Mya Fryckman after the spring semester. Mya has been a trailblazer within the student organization, earning regional recognition for her hard work and skill. Mya knows Calvin has what it takes to be a great station manager.

“Calvin is going to do a great job,” Fryckman said. “He has a great work ethic and passion for this industry, which will take him far not only here, but in life.”

“Mya has taught me a lot, and I feel confident taking over for her,” Amundson-Geisel said.
