The St. Cloud State women’s volleyball team had two matches against two different opponents this weekend, with one match having a little more importance. The first game, against Upper Iowa, saw the Huskies win the first two sets, drop the third, and close out the match with a 25-16 win.

Sophomore outside hitter Kenzie Foley led the team with 17 kills Friday night, and Junior middle blocker Phebie Rossi led the team with 6 blocks. The Huskies had their hands full in their win against #9 ranked Winona State Saturday night, as the Warriors extended the match to five games. Foley once again led the team in kills, this time with 25. Senior middle blocker Alison Naughton led the team with 5 blocks. The women’s volleyball team sits at 13 wins and 4 losses, with an 8-1 record in conference play. The Huskies next matchup is at home against the University of Mary at 6 p.m. on October 15th.
