Starbucks is offering a new way to caffeinate by adding a completely coffee-free beverage to their menu. Starbucks Baya Energy can now be found on the shelves of your local grocery store and coming to Starbucks stores March 1.

These fruity canned drinks come in three fresh flavors: mango guava, raspberry lime and pineapple passionfruit. Just 90 calories and 160mg of caffeine, Starbucks Baya Energy is equivalent to a grande latte or two espresso shots.

This is Starbucks way to stay competitive in the caffeine market. Chanda Beppu, VP of Americas Channel Development, says they have noticed a rise of popularity in energy drinks and wanted to offer something of the sort themselves. Not everyone loves the taste of coffee, but most of us can use a pick me up from time to time (or every morning), and Baya Energy aims to appease consumers of every kind.

Starbucks Baya Energy gives us another reason to look forward to spring and warmer days. Head to the store or your local Starbucks to get your caffeine buzz on
