*Graduate Student Coffee – The School of Graduate Studies is hosting a coffee get together for graduate students to meet their peers, build connections, and take a break from academics and relax. The event is being held in Miller 102 from 11am to 1pm.
Battle of The Chefs – January’s Battle of the Chefs will feature nachos in Garvey Commons. Stop by Garvey for lunch and vote for your favorite nacho combination and help Huskies Dining declare a winner for the month. The event will run while supplies last, and is predicted to run from 11am to 1pm.
Wednesday, January 28
Sidestreet – The Department of Campus Involvement (DCI) is hosting this semester’s involvement fair “Sidestreets” in Atwood Memorial Center from 11am to 2pm. The event gives students to meet with organization leaders for both on and off campus organizations, along with the chance to speak to department faculty.
Kappa Eta Kappa Bowling – Join KHK in the Atwood Underground from 5 to 7pm for their bowlign rush event. Meet the members of KHK and create connections while enjoying a game or two. Pizza will be provided.
Thursday, January 29
Coffee House – DCI and the Huskies Events and Activies Team (HEAT) will be hosting another coffee house sission from 11am to 2pm in the Atwood Lounge. Hear music from Allison Mahal for the first hour, followed by acoustic music, while enjoying a cup of coffee or matcha. There will also be the opportunity to paint with coffee. Event is free for SCSU Students with a valid student ID, or is $10 for admission.
The Running Man – HEAT will be showing The Running Man in the Atwood Theatre. The film’s preshow starts at 6:30 with the actual showing beginning at 7. Students get in free with a valid ID and will have their choice of popcorn, candy, and a drink. The film has a runtime of 2 horus and 13 minutes. The event runs at the same time on Friday and Saturday as well.
*Winter Sorority Kick Off – Come meet the three sorority chapters at SCSU while enjoying winter themed snacks and activities. The event will be held in the Atwood Glacier room and will run from 6 to 9pm.
Friday, January 30
Men’s Hockey vs. Miami (OH) – Join the SCSU Men’s Hockey team at the Herb for a conference matchup against Miami. The theme is fan appreciation, and fans can buy tickets online at scsutickets.com. The team will also have anothe game against Miami on Saturday as well.
Saturday, January 31
Men’s Wrestling vs. Augustana – The SCSU Men’s Wrestling team will take on #11 Augustana in an NSIC match in Hallenbeck Hall at 1pm. The event will also be streamed with the link found here.
